Who doesn’t want to be more organized as they enter a new year? I always try to take this last week of the year to reflect on the last year and set goals for the next. Let’s be honest, too – 2016 was a doozy of a year so some goal brainstorming and goal-setting seems like a great idea.
We had a lot of ups and downs and struggles with Mylah this year and we are ready to move forward with a hopefully smooth year ahead with her. There were a lot of missed opportunities, events, activities, etc., because we had to put everything on hold when she had an episode with her illnesses. Would I do it again in 2017 and beyond? You bet! But that doesn’t mean I can’t plan for special occassions and goals for 2017.
I created a Pet Parent 2017 Goals Worksheet & Monthly Calendar for this reason specifically! I wanted to set goals for myself and each individual dog and work on achieving them throughout the year.
The worksheet and calendar I created starts with prompts and ideas so you can set personal goals and your dogs’ goals for the year.
For example, one of my goals this year is to take the dogs (or at least Izzy) to Starved Rock National Park. I’d like to get Mylah swimming again at least once this summer because she loves it and didn’t get to swim at all last summer. I’d also like to play more mental stimulation and brain games with Hudson. All these and more I brainstormed and documented and then outlined in the monthly calendar outline.
If you download this free printable worksheet, you will receive a packet that contains the following:
